review: birdseye steamfresh meals

Last night’s ultra-lazy dinner consisted of one of the new Birdseye Steamfresh Meals (grilled chicken in roasted garlic sauce), and pillsbury freezer to oven whole wheat rolls.

Pros: required no actual work, and no dirty pans (huge plus in my book).

Cons: did not look as good as they show it — it came out all smooshed looking, not cheap.

Pro: full of veggies, and pretty tasty.

Cons: looked pretty un-appetizing, and left us feeling a little unsatisfied/unsatiated, therefore not really worth all the calories

Verdict:  all things considered, I think I’d buy one of the Bertolli frozen skillet or oven meals if I want to be this lazy.  Even though they’re a little worse for you they’re more satisfying and tastier.  Or I’ll boil up some ravioli, that only take one pot, too.
