Resolutions & A Tasty New Meal
My dear friend Adrienne resolved to make 6 new recipes/dishes a month this year. We got a head start on that Friday by making a great meal from Everyday Food from Martha Stewart — Skirt Steak with Crispy Garlic Potatoes. The directions call for slicing the potatoes one inch thick … which we didn’t do. We had small round red potatoes which I sliced about 1/4 of an inch thick (this is what the photo in the recipe looks like as well). It was easy, and delicious. I would put more garlic on the potatoes and perhaps even cook them a few minutes longer (we left them for the max. amount of time) but that’s just my preference. I was skeptical of the dressing, as I’m not much of a mustard fan, but it was delicious and paired really well with the steak. The market didn’t have skirt steak, so we subbed flank steak which the butcher said was very close.
Delish!
